Georgies Fine Jewellery is a family-owned jewellery business serving communities across the Far South Coast of New South Wales. Its story began in Narooma in 1983, when Jan and George Staley opened Narooma Jewellery & Gifts and established a local workshop focused on handmade jewellery and repairs.

Their daughter Georgie later joined the family business as an apprentice jeweller, learning traditional hand-making and repair techniques from her father. Georgie and her husband David subsequently took over the business, with David also completing a watchmaking apprenticeship. Over the years, the family expanded Georgies Fine Jewellery to locations including Merimbula, Bega and Batemans Bay.

Jewellery repairs remain a major part of the business, supported by a team of full-time jewellers and an experienced watchmaker. Georgies Fine Jewellery also specialises in custom-made jewellery, remodelling and bespoke design, combining traditional bench skills with modern CAD technology and 3D printing.

The workshop can incorporate customers’ existing or sentimental gold into new designs, helping transform meaningful materials into contemporary pieces and future family heirlooms.
