Gushing .... I've been thinking about this piece since I first met Linh. I wasn't really ready but then yesterday, 12 months later, I just walked through the doors and again, I felt comfortable. Linh seems to know how to welcome her guests and she has an eye for what truly works, shiny-wise! Linh organised Certificates and a very lovely gift for yours truly.

I had a fabulous time at Gerard McCabe with Jackie, the store manager, helping me select two beautiful pieces of Victorian jewellery, which are now treasured souvenirs of my trip to Australia. Jackie spent a lot of time with me as I tried on multiple pieces, and talked about what I liked and what I was looking for. She really knows her jewels, and knows how personal and meaningful a decision jewellery purchases can be. I came away with a stunning Victorian ladies' watch chain necklace that is just the perfect thing for holding my grandmother's cameo, and a lovely Victorian padlock bracelet that I wear all the time now. I very much appreciated Jackie's patience and expertise, as I never felt rushed and wound up with pieces that really work for me--and got to play with a lot of gorgeous things that remain in the store! I also appreciated her help and advice on the Tourist Refund Scheme, which allows non-Australians to receive a refund of the 10% tax on certain purchases made within 60 days of departure. She provided receipts with everything I needed and showed me the TRS app. When I got to the airport, the process for claiming the refund was very smooth, and the refund was posted to my credit card within a week of my return home. I might have spent several hours with Jackie at McCabe's (time flew), and they were a highlight of my trip. The shop is lovely, too, and centrally located in beautiful Adelaide. They also have a great Instagram account, which is fun to follow.

I recently lost a diamond pendant I'd treasured for many years. Thankfully, I still had the original certificate detailing the diamonds, along with a drawing of the design.nWith these details and a photo of me wearing the pendant, Gerard McCabe Jewellers were able to recreate it perfectly.nThe craftsmanship and gem quality are absolutely outstanding.nAlyssa, who works in the Rundle Mall shop, assisted me from start to finish and was incredibly warm, attentive and helpful through the whole process. It was an absolute pleasure dealing with her and I'm thrilled with the result.
