About John Stone Designer Jeweller
John Stone Designer Jeweller is an independent Brisbane jewellery studio owned and operated by craftsman John Stone, who brings more than 30 years of trade experience to custom design and fine jewellery. Located on the gallery level of the historic Brisbane Arcade, the business combines traditional jewellery-making skills with contemporary design and a personal, workshop-led service.
Custom jewellery is at the centre of John’s work. Clients can arrive with a clear concept, an inspiration image or simply an occasion in mind, then work directly with John to refine the design. Engagement rings, wedding jewellery and other one-off pieces can be sketched and developed around the wearer, with gemstone selection and practical considerations incorporated before manufacture begins. Jewellery is made onsite, allowing the same craftsman who discusses the design to remain involved through production.
The studio works with high-quality diamonds and coloured gemstones and also carries an extensive selection of authentic antique jewellery. That combination gives customers the choice between commissioning a completely new piece and exploring jewellery with genuine age, craftsmanship and character.
Because the work is made onsite, clients can receive guidance throughout the process rather than dealing with a remote production chain. John’s stated approach is straightforward: quality pieces, value for money and honest service.
