About Stephens & Miller
Stephens & Miller is one of Melbourne’s long-established manufacturing jewellers, with a continuous presence in Camberwell dating back to 1946. Founded by Albert S. Miller and C. Frank Stephens, the business has retained an onsite workshop and continues to combine traditional jewellery-making skills with modern design and repair techniques.
Bespoke jewellery is at the heart of the business. Clients can begin with an idea, photograph, gemstone or existing heirloom and work through a consultation process with the team. Gemmologists assist with selecting diamonds and coloured stones, concept drawings are developed, and the final piece is made onsite once the design has been approved. The workshop works in 9ct and 18ct gold and platinum, as well as alternative materials for selected ring designs.
Stephens & Miller also undertakes extensive repair, remodelling and restoration work. Services include ring resizing, claw repairs, stone replacement and setting, gemstone polishing, pearl and bead re-threading, chain repairs, rhodium plating, cleaning and restoration of both antique and modern jewellery. Valuations and insurance-related services are also available.
