Nina’s Jewellery is a Western Australian jewellery house with a history stretching back to 1965, when founder Bill Withers opened Kununurra’s first jewellery retailer under the name Djaaru Gems. That Kimberley beginning shaped the business’s long connection with Australian precious materials, particularly coloured diamonds, South Sea pearls and locally sourced gold. In 1984, Nina’s was entrusted with setting some of the first diamonds from the Argyle mine, beginning a relationship with the mine that would become central to the brand’s identity.
Today, Nina’s operates its showroom and workshop in Dunsborough, where its team includes master jewellers and GIA-certified diamond and design specialists. The business is especially known for natural coloured diamonds, including champagne, pink, violet and other rare hues, and remains one of a limited number of Argyle Pink Diamond Select Ateliers. Nina’s states that it works only with natural diamonds, with black diamonds the stated exception where treatment is used for colour and strength.
Custom design is an important part of the service. Clients can work with the team on engagement rings, milestone jewellery and other one-off pieces, with design and manufacturing supported by the Dunsborough workshop. Nina’s also creates jewellery featuring Broome and South Sea pearls, Australian gold and carefully selected gemstones.
For customers looking for jewellery with a distinctly Western Australian story, Nina’s combines more than five decades of trade experience with specialist knowledge of natural coloured diamonds and locally inspired design.
