Brett's Jewellers

Brett’s Jewellers is a Geelong West custom-jewellery studio founded by master jeweller Brett Wood. Brett has worked professionally in jewellery since 1972 and opened the business in 1989, initially as a small atelier in central Geelong. As demand grew, the studio moved to Pakington Street and developed into a boutique showroom with an open workshop and dedicated consultation space.

Handcrafted custom jewellery is the core of the business. Clients can work with the team on engagement rings, wedding jewellery, anniversary pieces and other one-off designs using diamonds, rare coloured gemstones, gold, platinum and other precious materials. Each Brett’s-designed piece is handmade in the workshop and carries the studio’s own maker’s mark.

The team includes qualified jewellers, gemmologists, diamond specialists and National Council of Jewellery Valuers members. Brett himself is an FGAA gemmologist, holds a Diploma of Diamond Technology and is a registered jewellery valuer. This mix of design, gem knowledge and trade experience allows customers to receive technical guidance as well as creative input.

Brett’s also provides repairs, pearl maintenance, rethreading, valuations, insurance quotations and ongoing care. The business places particular emphasis on heirloom-quality construction and on rejuvenating older family jewellery so it can continue to be worn.

For Geelong customers, Brett’s combines decades of local history with a highly qualified in-house team. Its strongest point is the connection between design, valuation, making and long-term maintenance within the same independent studio.
