I'm Ian, with over 43 years in the jewellery trade. I began my journey with an apprenticeship in the UK before moving to Australia to further my career. Jewellery making and diamond setting are lifelong learning experiences. With over 70,000 hours at the bench, I've honed my craft through dedication and patience. Creating beautiful rings is a rewarding experience, despite the challenges of working on such a small scale.

At Ellissi, our combined experience spans nearly 80 years. We pride ourselves on being different from the typical jewellery store. Our friendly and informative approach ensures you feel comfortable and educated about diamonds and jewellery.

Our Approach

Located in the heart of Melbourne, our studio workshop is easily accessible. We have no "sales-only" staff; the person you consult with will also be the one designing and making your ring. As experts in diamond selection, we work directly with diamond cutters to secure the best stones within your budget. We take the time to explain the complexities of diamonds, helping you understand why one diamond may be more valuable than another. This knowledge is crucial for making informed decisions about your purchase.
