Studio 41 Vears Fine Jewellers is a Mornington jewellery studio founded by principal designer and jeweller Elayne Vears. Elayne entered the jewellery trade as an apprentice before joining a collaborative workshop in Merricks North in 1988. She established her own Mornington business in 1994 and moved into 41 Main Street in 1999, giving Studio 41 the name and location that have become closely associated with the business.
One-of-a-kind design is central to the studio. Elayne and her team create bespoke engagement, wedding and commitment rings as well as other individual pieces, working with clients through ideas, sketches, gemstones and final manufacture. The gallery also carries ready-made jewellery featuring a broad range of precious metals and stones.
Restoration and remodelling are equally important. Studio 41 specialises in rejuvenating inherited jewellery, whether that means carefully restoring a piece toward its original condition or melting, resetting and recreating the materials in an entirely new design. Repairs range from ring resizing and pearl threading through to more complex restoration work.
All workshop work is carried out at the Mornington studio, keeping design, making and repair close to the customer. The team brings more than 40 years of jewellery experience to these services.
