About Foxfire Designs
Foxfire Designs is a Parap jewellery studio specialising in custom manufacture, remodelling and repair. Established in 1993, the business has spent more than three decades creating and maintaining jewellery for Darwin and Northern Territory customers from a workshop-based operation.
Designer Marianne is closely associated with the studio and has worked with Territory customers for more than 30 years. Originally from Germany, she moved to Australia in the late 1970s and settled in the Northern Territory soon afterwards. Her work combines traditional goldsmith skills with the freedom of designing pieces around individual customers rather than following a fixed retail catalogue.
Custom commissions can be developed from the metal and gemstone stage onward. Customers can discuss precious or semi-precious stones, metal choice, size and shape before the piece is made in the Parap workshop. The studio also redesigns older jewellery and can incorporate existing stones or materials into a new piece.
Repair services include general jewellery work, pearl restringing, watch repairs, cleaning and polishing. Local business information states that qualified goldsmiths carry out work onsite, which allows customers to keep valuable pieces within the studio rather than sending them away.

Her attention to detail is impeccable and I couldnu2019t be happier with the ring she has made for us. Mandarin With Ling 5 ★ 2024-04-23Marianneu2019s craftsmanship is second to none. Thereu2019s absolutely no sign to tell my ring has been resized. The back of the band is so smooth like new. I was quoted a quite higher price at two other jewelers for the resizing. Will definitely bring any future jewelry repair or design work to Foxfire whenever we visit Darwin again!
