About Vahe Fine Jewellery

VAHÉ Jewellery is a Melbourne custom jewellery business with a history dating to 1979. The company operates from an onsite workshop in Rowville and places direct access to the makers at the centre of its service. Rather than separating design, sales and manufacture across different suppliers, VAHÉ handles the process from initial conversation through to the finished piece within the same business.

Custom engagement rings, wedding rings and celebration jewellery are major areas of work. Customers can begin with a preferred setting, diamond or gemstone, or develop a completely original design with the team. VAHÉ works with both natural and laboratory-grown diamonds as well as coloured gemstones including sapphires, emeralds and rubies.

Remodelling is equally important. Older jewellery can be assessed and redesigned using existing gold and gemstones where appropriate, allowing sentimental materials to be incorporated into something better suited to the current wearer. The workshop also accepts jewellery for repairs and restoration, including pieces not originally made by VAHÉ.

Modern technology supports the traditional bench work. The business uses contemporary design methods and also provides in-house laser engraving for rings, pendants, bracelets and other pieces, keeping personalised work within the workshop rather than sending it away.

After more than four decades, VAHÉ’s point of difference remains its maker-led approach. Customers deal directly with the people responsible for bringing a design to life, whether the project involves a new engagement ring, a complex remodel, an heirloom restoration or a personal engraving.
