Rowe Design Gold & Silversmith is a Cairns jewellery studio built around the work of jeweller Shayne Rowe, who personally designs and handcrafts jewellery and works directly with clients on custom pieces. Shayne’s career has taken him through different parts of Australia, including work involving antique restoration and reproduction in Melbourne and one-off commissioned jewellery in Western Australia, before returning to Cairns and opening Rowe Design in 2004. The business operates with an on-site workshop, allowing design, restoration and repair work to be completed on the premises.

Australian gemstones and materials are a strong part of Rowe Design’s identity. The studio works with natural diamonds and coloured gemstones, including Australian sapphires, as well as South Sea pearls from regions such as Broome and the Abrolhos Islands. Its offering includes engagement rings, wedding and eternity rings, dress rings and individually commissioned jewellery. Rowe Design also undertakes repairs, remodelling and restoration, including work on inherited or sentimental pieces that clients want to preserve while adapting them for continued wear.
