The business has been part of the Devonport community for generations and continues to combine traditional jewellery knowledge with personalised service and a contemporary retail experience.

The Matthews family operated the business for many decades, including from its Rooke Street location from the 1920s. In 2012, ownership passed to Helen, Michelle and Mark, who continued the Matthews Jewellers name while introducing a fresh direction for the store. In 2016, the business relocated to larger premises at 109 Rooke Street, Devonport, allowing the team to expand its range and modernise the customer experience.

Matthews Jewellers Devonport offers fine jewellery, diamonds, precious stones, watches and gifts, with a strong focus on helping customers find pieces to suit different styles, occasions and budgets.
