Certified Diamond Network is a Parramatta bespoke jewellery studio led by Edward and Carl Swaab. Founder Edward Swaab is an award-winning master jeweller with more than four decades in the industry, and the business combines his hands-on design and manufacturing experience with specialist diamond and gemstone sourcing.

Rather than relying only on a fixed inventory, Certified Diamond Network uses a brokerage approach to source diamonds and coloured gemstones through trade suppliers. This allows clients to compare stones according to their own priorities for appearance, certification, rarity and budget before committing to a design. The team also places strong emphasis on explaining diamond characteristics so clients understand what they are paying for rather than relying purely on a brand name.

Bespoke engagement and wedding rings are a major part of the studio’s work, together with coloured-diamond and gemstone jewellery. Edward works directly with clients during the design process, and finished pieces are handmade through the Parramatta workshop. Typical custom projects take several weeks from consultation through manufacture, depending on complexity.

The business traces Edward’s jewellery career back to his apprenticeship, when his design skills received early industry recognition. That combination of technical making and creative design still defines the service today.

      From my first conversation with Carl, I was very impressed with his professionalism and expertise. I was searching for a very special gem to be made into a pendant in memory of my dear mother. I was quite specific with the type of gem and shape. I did think I was asking a lot of Carl to locate exactly what I was looking for. However, Carl did not give up, and he was able to locate exactly what I had hoped for. The gem was perfect!nAfter talking with Carl and Edward about the design of the pendant, Edward created several beautiful design concepts to complement the gem. Both Edward and Carl took the time to explain how the beauty of the gem can best be highlighted and a final decision was made. I knew and trusted something very special would be created by Edward. I was not disappointed. The final product was stunning and perfect. Just what I had envisioned.nThis entire process was undertaken via the phone and email, as I live interstate.
