I called in with my partner looking at rings the ring I was interested in was $3000 I asked if they could do better and was offered a discount of $600 I could not buy it with my partner there so I returned the next morning to purchase it and the young manager said no she would not do that price today.nThat is really bad business your manager needs some more training in how to talk to customers and provide better service she was not interested and unhelpful ,will never shop at proud again and advised others to do the same glad your doing that well you can turn customers away.

I had my necklace repaired at Prouds in Sale and was quoted $49.90 for repair and had to pay $29.90 for a new clasp upfront that was not broken but according to them they don't do it any other way. For my link that WAS broken to the clasp, it might have taken a minute to solder. $50 was steep, but I sucked it up. I was charged $49.00 upon pick up 2 weeks later. All in all it was almost an $80 repair. Had I known at the time that it was an $80 repair I would never have got it done. When I phoned the woman to say about the quote to her, it was simply a case of too bad, so sad. I will certainly find a cheaper jeweller elsewhere and one with better customer service. You know the saying, fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. They won't get a second chance (that's money grabbing at its finest) Moral of the story, get a quote in writing

I have to agree with the previous 1 star review. The young girl was very good but the older woman was the most rudest person we have met in a shop in Sale. She diffidently does not know the meaning of customer service. We went in there in our work clothes and not dressed to her standards. She looked down at us as if we could not afford her items (straight out of Pretty Woman) What she should learn is money comes in all shapes and sizes and she should also go back to charm school, I would rather drive to Melbourne than be served by such a rude person. Prouds have nothing to be proud of with her in that shop. We will NEVER shop at Prouds again.
