I bought a watch today at 3:20pm, 14/02/2026 and my experience was terrible. The sales attendant chewed gum (yes, really) the whole time they spoke to me.nnThe watch was a gift a family member was getting me to celebrate a milestone and instead of having an excellent moment it was one that was just saddening.nnThe female sales attendant made no effort to connect, didn't introduce themselves, asked a single question and then did nothing else.nnEven when we bought the watch she, still chewing gum, just placed it in the bag and said good luck. Didn't tell us about warranty. Show us how it worked - she told us literally nothing. Not battery life, functions, nothing. This is easily one of the worst sales perfomances I've seen in a very long time. Her coworker walked passed her chewing gum, watched the sale and the lack of any kind of information while she handed the watch to us after payment and just tolerated it. I can only assume the low standards here are systemic. Really would recommend you only go here as a last resort. It would be 0/5 but I have to give one.

I recently bought a watch from the Angus & Coote store at Chermside, and honestly, the experience after payment was very disappointing.nnOnce the purchase was completed, the staff casually told me they had no bag available, meaning I had to carry the watch and the purchase paper in my hands for the rest of the day along with my other shopping. No apology, no effort to find a solution, and no concern for customer convenience.nnFor a jewellery store, this level of service is unacceptable. Providing a bag is a basic expectation, and the lack of care shown reflects poorly on the store. I expected much better from a brand like Angus & Coote.

ID required to view a sub-2k ring? Presumably because nothing screams 'do a runner' like a middle-aged couple. Didnt hang around to find out what they'd require to actually purchase it. LMAO.
