Prouds the Jewellers | Clarkson

My wife and I have shopped at Prouds for years, both in-store and online, and trusted them. That trust is now completely broken.nnToday, she found a necklace clearly marked $199.50 on the display. She liked it and took it to the counter to pay, only to be told the price was $599. This is not a simple pricing error; it's a deliberate bait-and-switch tactic.nnWhen we challenged it, the staff did not resolve the issue satisfactorily. Upon checking other reviews, it's clear we are not aloneu2014this is a pattern of behavior at Prouds, misleading customers to get them into the store.nnI feel completely misled and taken advantage of as a loyal, long-time customer. What is the point of a price tag if it's not the price you pay?nnI will be taking my business elsewhere and will be informing everyone I know to avoid Prouds. This morning at 9.04 am 18/12/2025nI had a very unpleasant experience this morning at Proud Jewellery in Clarkson.nnTwo days ago, I visited the store and spoke with a lovely staff member who always serves me when I shop there. I explained that I had purchased a tennis necklace from Proud and that it had broken after getting caught in my clothing. I also mentioned that I had forgotten to bring the receipt at that time. She advised that it would be fine to return with the receipt and that she would be happy to help me exchange the necklace.nnBecause I live in Yanchep, I returned the necklace to Proud Jewellery in Clarkson, as it is the closest store to me.nnWhen I returned this morning, that staff member was not there. I explained the situation to two other customer service staff members. From the beginning, one of them gave me uncomfortable looks and made me feel judged. She then loudly spoke to another staff member, who was serving another customer, saying, u201cShe bought it at Joondalup, then why did she bring it here?u201dnnThis comment was made in front of other customers and was very embarrassing. I was visibly upset and close to tears, so I asked for my necklace back. Only then did she change her tone and said, u201cOh, thatu2019s alright darling. How would you like me to help? Do you want to exchange it or get a voucher?u201dnnBy that point, I felt too uncomfortable to continue the conversation and quietly left the store.nnI am extremely disappointed with the rude and unprofessional treatment I received. This is not the level of customer service I expect from Proud Jewellery, especially as a returning customer.

If I could put a 0 star I wouldu2026. I love prouds jewellery and I have never had a problem with the customer service in any of them but this proudsu2026..never again. Both mature ladies in prouds were very rude today. I Walked in twice with my friend and no welcome, both of the workers completely ignored us and I had to go ask for help. Also just a reminder to check your prices when you put them in the glass display as it was priced $39 and it was a piece of jewellery I feel in love with. when taken out and checked it was notu2026 not impressed
