Anthony Colin The Jeweller

Anthony Colin the Jeweller is a Western Australian family jewellery business established in 1985 by Anthony “Tony” Walker. Tony began his independent business after working as a jeweller for Charles Edwards Jewellers and Caris Brothers, first operating from a small workshop in Perth’s Piccadilly Arcade and later spending two decades in London Court. In 2022 the business moved to a larger showroom and workshop at Winthrop Village.

The family team brings unusually broad technical expertise. Tony is a senior jeweller with around 50 years of trade experience. Sherry Finley-Walker is a gemmologist, Registered Valuer with the National Council of Jewellery Valuers and a former Argyle diamond grader. Bridget Walker is an in-house gemmologist and gemmology educator, while Alex Walker has worked as a jeweller since 2012.

The Winthrop premises includes a full workshop and gem laboratory, allowing much of the business’s work to be carried out onsite. The team works with precious metals, diamonds and coloured gemstones and can assist with custom-made jewellery, valuation and specialist gemstone questions.

Keeping the workshop close to the showroom gives customers direct access to people who understand both the design and technical sides of jewellery. It also provides additional reassurance when valuable or sentimental pieces are being assessed or worked on.

For Jewellink, the old Perth CBD location should be updated to Winthrop. The underlying business, however, remains a strong independent family jeweller with four decades of trading history and a team spanning jewellery manufacture, gemmology, diamond grading and professional valuation.
