Excellent service by Kari (hope i got her name correct from her badge). So helpful and not pushing extra expensive items on me so I happily spent a significant amount of money as I trusted her advice. Good sale on so my diamond & gold purchases were affordable. However it was the excellent service that kept me in this store rather than looking elsewhere.

I am extremely disappointed with the service we received at Prouds Wollongong on 5/02/2026 at around 8:15 pm. The lady assisting us did not have a name tag, so I am unable to mention her by name.nWe were looking at engagement rings and wanted to try a few different styles, including yellow gold, even though we were leaning towards white gold. This is a completely normal part of choosing such an important piece. Instead of offering guidance or support, she was rude and dismissive and said, u201cIf you want white gold, why are you trying yellow gold? What are you doing? Waste of time.u201dnTo make matters worse, immediately after this comment, she walked away while we were still trying on rings to serve another customer, leaving us standing there feeling judged, rushed, and completely disregarded.nThis behaviour was unacceptable and reflects extremely poor customer service. Customers should never be spoken to in such a condescending manner, especially when making a significant purchase like an engagement ring.nWe left the store and took our business elsewhere, purchasing both a gold wedding band and an engagement ring from Michael Hill, where the service was patient, respectful, and professional. The difference in customer care was night and day.

I used to be a customer there for all our occasionas - birthdays, Christmas, milestones etc. The older brunette lady always has showed attitude a couple of times prior to today, but I've tried to be understanding in case she had a bad day or whatever the case is. She was particularly aggresive today when assisting me, snatched the earrings I was looking at and walked away. If you don't want to have professional customer service, then some basic respect would suffice.
