Cairns Mineral & Lapidary Club has brought people together through a shared interest in lapidary and silversmithing since 1961. Its clubroom and workshops are in the W.J. Fulton Memorial Building on the Cairns Youth & Recreation Centre grounds at 129 Mulgrave Road.
The club promotes collecting, cutting and polishing minerals and gemstones. Activities include fossicking, gem identification, silver work, faceting and cabochon instruction, supported by dedicated workshop areas and equipment for members who have completed the relevant training.
The club welcomes people interested in lapidary and mineralogy and provides a strong local resource for learning and meeting other enthusiasts. Contact Cairns Mineral & Lapidary Club for current membership details, classes, workshop access and opening times.
