I purchased a 9kt Yellow Gold Silver Infused Childrenu2019s Bangle from Bevilles on 1 July 2025 as a baptism gift. The bangle has never been worn and was stored in the Bevilles jewellery box it came in.nnWhen I opened it less than three months later, it was already badly tarnished. I contacted Bevilles and they blamed the tarnish on me storing it in a closed box. They refused a refund or replacement and only offered a complimentary polish.nnThis is unacceptable for jewellery sold as 9kt gold. A reasonable customer would expect it to last much longer without deterioration, especially before being worn. Their warranty promises a fair and reasonable outcome, but my experience was dismissive and unhelpful.nnI am escalating this to NSW Fair Trading under my consumer rights. Very disappointing in both product quality and customer service.

I got a judgy look from the south asian lady working today (possibly the manager), when I asked if I could exchange a gift I got from a friend. Another asian lady came over and explained that they donu2019t do exchanges over a month old and especially not for earrings. First staff was super weird. Did not feel good about ever buying from Bevilles. Especially as fellow south asian, I feel super disappointed about her look towards my simple question.

I was purchasing some earrings I wasnu2019t sold on as my mother doesnu2019t wear silver but I donu2019t have much money and couldnu2019t afford anything else.nnThe manager assured me that if she or I didnu2019t like them we could return them. And so I worked to afford something nicer and the box of earrings sat in my room awaiting my mumu2019s birthday in a week.nnI came in to return them and the manager who sold them completely dismissed my claims she told me I could come back to return them and told me I was wrong, spoke over me and tried to gaslight me into believing her. I was misled for a sale and treated incredibly poorly by the staff. Seriously not on and disgusting to lie to someone just for a sale especially someone who was vulnerable and open on the day. This was the first time Iu2019ve had money to provide a nice gift to my mum and now I feel horrible. I understand ACCC laws but this is beyond that and is an error on the manageru2019s half which I need to now live with knowing I purchased a product I do not want after being lied to.nnNever coming back and filing a report to customer service.
