STEER CLEAR u2013 RUDE AND DISMISSIVE SERVICEnnOn Saturday 21st February, late morning, I visited the Angus & Coote store at Midland as a genuine buyer. I politely asked whether there was any flexibility on price if the staff member 'could phone the manager' for a discount.nnAn older female staff member rudely cut in and stated the price was not negotiable, in a condescending and hostile tone. She then said, word for word, u201cIf you donu2019t wanna pay that price, then WE DO NOT WANT YOUR MONEY HERE.u201d I walked out with my tail between my legs, feeling like a poor cattle dog kicked away. I walked over to Shiels and spent $12,500.00 the lady there willingly phoned the state manager and negotiated a discount.nSame money. Different attitude. Angus & Coote lost a serious sale through unnecessary rudeness alone.

We called in to Angus & Coote this evening, Thursday 9 March the staff were busy with other customers when we walked in, however our presence was acknowledged and we were given a friendly greeting.
