Prouds the Jewellers | Palmerston

Had a fantastic experience at Prouds Gateway Palmerston today. I was served by Nidhi, and she was absolutely amazing from start to finish.nnI walked in, found the watch I was looking for, and she made the whole experience enjoyable. She was friendly, knowledgeable, easy to chat to, and genuinely made me feel welcome. We had a few laughs, and nothing felt forced or like a sales pitch.nnNidhi also looked after me on the price, which I really appreciated. The rest of the team were just as friendly and created a great atmosphere in the store.nnThere was a huge range of watches and jewellery to choose from, with great quality and reasonable prices. Customer service like this is hard to find these days, so I wanted to give credit where itu2019s due.nnA big thank you to Nidhi and the team at Prouds Gateway Palmerston. Iu2019ll definitely be back and would happily recommend them to anyone looking for quality jewellery or watches.

I recently visited Prouds at Gateway with my late husbandu2019s watch, which had stopped working over 16 years ago. I was hoping to have it repaired so that I could pass it on to my son.nnI was assisted by Nidhi, who was kind, and empathetic, whilst I was a blubbering mess. She informed me that the watch could be sent to the manufacturer to see if it could be repaired. A few weeks later, I received a call from an employee at Prouds, letting me know that the manufacturer had said it couldnu2019t be fixed. However, to my complete surprise, a week later Nidhi personally called me and asked if she could take the watch with her while on holidays to her home country, to see if her local Watchmaker could take a look.nnAbout a month later, Nidhi called to tell me that the watch was now working. I couldnu2019t believe it. I was in tears on the phone. I could not believe the generosity and care that Nidhi had shown. Her kindness went far beyond her role and responsibilities.nnWhen I went in to collect the watch, Nidhi had also arranged her Watchmaker to attach a new band. When I asked, how much I owed her, she said u201cNothingu201d.nnI am truly taken aback by this beautiful and amazing gesture of pure kindness. It is far beyond anything that I ever expected. Bought a Cross necklace. Before I bought it I tried it on, the chain was too small for me so I asked if I could get a longer one, which the worker said was fine (as it's only a metal chain).nI looked around while she packed it, got home and realized she did not give me a larger chain. So I called and asked, which they said they do not have any larger ones an the lady was new. I get that people make mistakes an I would've been fine with it, except they did not inform me that they didn't have any longer ones. Instead they just sold it to me without a word. I get it's not a big deal as it's only metal but I think it was very sneaky of them to sell it to me, knowing that was the problem I had with it. I spent a couple hundred there, so I was not happy. Also I don't blame the new worker, I blame the other worker as she should of spoke up an let me know.
